Departure dates
This tour enables you to discover South Africa which hosts a wealth of magnificent places and reveals its true rainbow aspect to the traveller. You will discover two of most well known parks of the country namely the famous Kruger National park and the no less attractive Hluhluwe-Imfolozi park that you will mainly explore on foot from an exclusive camp! You will also explore the Kingdom of Swaziland. Finally, you itinerary ends in the Cape region where you will discover the winelands as well as the mother city "Cape Town" and the Cape of Good Hope.



















Day by day...
Day 1: Johannesburg...
Arrival at Johannesburg airport in the morning. You are welcomed by your guide and transferred to the guesthouse. We spend most of the day discovering Soweto including its distinctive slums and neighborhoods and will be surprised by the vibrant and sympathic character of this place. We take our breakfast in a local restaurant (included). In the evening we dine in a nice restaurant of one of Johannesburg lively areas (at your expense).

Days 2-4: Kruger Park…
Today we transfer to the largest national park of Southern Africa: the world-renowned Kruger Park. We visit the park essentially by vehicle. At dawn on Day 3, accompanied by an armed ranger, we set off on foot on the tracks of the animals. The rest of the day is spent game driving. Just before sunset, we go on a night drive in an open 4x4, which gives us a chance to spot nocturnal animals. We overnight in cottages in a bush camp inside the park.

Day 5: Kruger - Swaziland...
We depart the Kruger Park and head towards Swaziland. We travel north-east, far from the tourist routes, in the green mountains of the Lubombo. We will be based high up, in a small and comfortable hutted camp, which offers an amazing view of the valley 300m below. Overnight in huts in a small community-based camp.

Days 6-7: Swaziland - Mlilwane reserve…
We depart on the west for Mlilwane reserve where we spend 2 nights. We do some optional activities (at your own account) such as horse riding, walks, and VTT in the reserve. Night in traditional bungalows with en-suite bathroom.

Days 8-9: Hluhluwe - Imfolozi reserve...
Today we make our way in the direction to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park. We settle ourselves in an exclusive unfenced camp in comfortable en-suite bungalows. A ranger is at our disposal to lead us on foot in search of the game and to show us the amazing ecosystem.

Day 10: Hluhluwe - Imfolozi reserve - Stellenbosch...
After the breakfast, we spend another 2 hours in the reserve to look for animals. Then we set off for Durban where we arrive to have lunch (at your expense). We take a flight to Cape Town and make our way directly to Stellenbosch where we spend the night in B&B. Dinner at the restaurant (at your expense).

Day 11: Franschoek - Stellenbosch…
This day is dedicated to the discovery of the Wineland region and particularly Franschoek and Stellenbosch. We will visit many vineyards and will do some wine tasting. Meals at your expense. Overnight at same place.

Day 12: The Cape Peninsula…
This day is dedicated to the discovery of the Cape Peninsula, the Seal colony in Hout Bay, the boulders penguins and of course the Cape of Good Hope. Overnight in Cape Town in B&B. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant at your expense.
Base BB plus activities
Day 13: Cape Town...
Today (if the weather permits) we climb Table Mountain. After a good refreshment, we take our breakfast in town. The rest of the day is at leisure. Meals at your account. Overnight at the same place.

Day 14: Cape Town …
Last day at leisure and transfer to the airport. End of the journey!

All nights are in chalets, bungalows or B&Bs in towns. 1 night spend in traditional hut with shared bathroom in Swaziland.

Meals are prepared and cooked by the guide or the cook. In Imfolozi and Swaziland meals will be cooked by the camp staff with an original African flavour. In Durban, Franschoek and Cape Town, meals in restaurant.
Difficulty and comfort...
This trip is accessible to the most people (kids over 16 years old). No experience is necessary; this trip is offering lots of walks so a good health is compulsory.
