A trip dedicated to the discovery of the largest game reserve of South Africa: the world-renowned Greater Kruger Park (Kruger Park and bordering private game reserves). The emphasis is on a close and intimate encounter with nature, mainly by walking. During these 8 days you will also experience morning and Sunset 4x4 safaris to deeply connect yourself with the magnificent African fauna. You'll overnight in exclusive bush camps, open to the bush – a unique way to really get a feel for the mysterious and fascinating wilderness.

Day by day...

Day 1: Johannesburg...

Arrival at Johannesburg airport in the morning. You are welcomed by your guide and transferred to the guesthouse. We spend most of the day discovering Soweto including its distinctive slums and neighborhoods and will be surprised by the vibrant and sympathic character of this place. We take our breakfast in a local restaurant (included). In the evening we dine in a nice restaurant of one of Johannesburg lively areas (at your expense).

Day 2: Blyde River Canyon...

Departure for the Blyde river canyon. We will end up our day in the small tourism village of Graskop, on the south of the Canyon. Night in B&B. Meals at restaurant.

Day 3: Kruger Park…

Transfer to the Kruger Park in the morning. We spend the day in the park looking for animals. We spend the night in one of the park's camps. Meals at the park's restaurant.

Day 4: Kruger Park and Tree House camp…

We spend the day doing safari in the middle of the park (breakfast in one of the park's camp). In the afternoon, we discover the surrounding on foot following animals' tracks.

Days 5-7: Walking safari in Klaserie private game reserve...

We settle down in an exclusive open bush camp for the following 3 nights (10 persons maximum). We use a tented camp set along the river edge. We explore the reserve mainly on foot with an armed ranger and a guide while learning a thousand fascinating things about this fascinating ecosystem. Here you can enjoy the pleasure of a close and genuine contact with the nature! During the night you may hear innumerable sounds coming from the African savannah such as the call of hyenas as well as lions' roars.

Day 8: Klaserie - Johannesburg...

After our last morning safari, we prepare ourselves for our journey to Johannesburg (lunch on the road, at your own expense). Your safari ends in Johannesburg.

In bungalows with Ensuite bathroom (D2-D4) and in comfortable tents for 2 people in Klaserie (comfortable with beds, sheet and blankets).

Meals are cooked by the staff. They are substantial and simple with an original African flavor.

In the Blyde River Canyon and the Kruger Park, the accommodation is comfortable with private bathroom. For 3 nights in Klaserie, shared ablutions.

Difficulty...

This trip is accessible to mostly everyone (kids over 16 years old). Walks are easy (except for the heat), flat land and a maximum of 15 kilometers per day. Anyway a good condition is required.

In the reserves, it is compulsory to sign a discharge of responsibility in case of accidents.

Guided trip:

Minibus transfers outside the reserves and in 4x4 inside, all activities mentioned, full board pension, all drinks (from D2 to D4 except marked drinks), accommodation, tour guide and armed ranger.
