Go deep into the bush and discover the delights of the Okavango Delta and of the Lower Zambezi by foot, aboard canoes and mokoros and also in 4x4s. Adventurous bivouacs on islands alternate with nights spent in comfortable camps built in harmony with natural surroundings. Our Okamana Explorer is the exploration trip par excellence!

Day by day ...
Days 1-2: Moremi Game reserve - Okavango...
We leave from Maun in 4x4 for Moremi game reserve (there is also a possibility to reach Moremi in light aircraft with extra).
J2, we board the mokoros (canoes). Propelled with the aid of pins by Tswana guides, we slip slowly between the papyruses while pushing ourselves deeply in this maze of canals.
In the afternoon, aboard a motor boat, we venture ourselves in other canals always more mysterious and fascinating.

Days 3-4: Moremi Game reserve - Kwai...
Today, we head towards the north east of the reserve, in the Kwai region which borders Chobe game reserve.
The Kwai area contrasts with that of Xakanaxa since it offers different landscapes. This is an excellent area for lions. However we can also hope to see buffalos, giraffes, jackals, hyenas, leopards, zebras, wildebeest and many more.

Days 5-6: Chobe National Park - Savuti...
Leaving Moremi, we enter Chobe National Park and drive slowly northwards through it to reach Savuti, while searching for animals. Chobe is indeed a kingdom for big cats and contains more than 80,000 - the biggest African population.

Day 7: Chobe River...
Today, we have a long transfer north as we drive through Chobe to reach Chobe River, where we camp. These permanent waters attract large herds of elephant and buffalo, which appear in the late afternoon for a drink.

Day 8: Chobe River - Kasane…
Today, we go on our last 4x4 safari along the banks of Chobe towards Kasane. We spend the night in en-suite bungalows with en-suite bathrooms in a lodge facing the river.
The soundscape in this area is inimitable. One can hear birds' songs, hippos grunting, monkeys crawl and croaking of invisible frogs. Elephants on the other hand are ubiquitous!
In late afternoon, aboard a cruise ship, we enjoy a wonderful show while watching the sunset.

During the next three days, we paddle down the Zambezi River in stable Canadian-style canoes. We carry all the camping equipment with us in order to be completely autonomous.
