Health...
Malaria is present in Southern Africa especially the North of Botswana, certain areas of Zimbabwe, and the North of South Africa. Consult a health practitioner who will prescribe tablets to you as well as a basic medical kit. Also travel with a mosquito repellent.
Some areas of Zimbabwe and Zambia are infected by tsetse flies.
We advise you to get vaccination against hepatitis A and B and typhoid.
Tap water is drinkable almost anywhere in Southern Africa. Make sure you drink a minimum of 2 litres of water per day to prevent dehydration especially during the hottest months of the year.
